Reid Elem is an artist and educator that combines the traditions of fine art and documentary photography to focus on sociopolitical and environmental issues. His work often includes human-made structures interacting with the natural landscape, highlighting an awkward dichotomy that at times is forced into symbiosis. Reid has been traveling extensively over the last decade, finding evidence of the human impact on the landscape all over the globe, and reacting to what he sees with his camera.

Reid received his Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and he is currently fulfilling a full-time position at Utah Valley University as an Associate Professor of Photography.
